Saturday: Noms and Veto

Happy Saturday, y'all! It's day 2,387 inside the BB18 house and this season is finally coming to a sh*tshow end shortly. lol Yesterday was the Nomination Ceremony, where HOH Nicole Corey turned on his Final 4 alliance and....

Nominated for Eviction:
PAUL/VICTOR

Victor thought him/Paul would be safe, that Nicole/Corey would honor their F4 deal. Paul, however, had his doubts.

Victor is the target this week.

Victor said he'd never put them up, and how he could've last week. Paul said some people play the game "without giving a f*ck" and that Nicorey is doing this because they're scared.

Victor was pissed post-noms ceremony, but not yelling. Paul understands it's a game move. Victor said he expected James to put them on the block together, but not Nicorey. They agree to gun after them, whichever one stays. If neither win Veto, and James wins it, they wanna try to get James to use it so that Nicole has to go up (only option left).

At 7pm BBT, Victor/Paul are talking to Nicole/Corey. Corey said he had to put them up because he didn't wanna put Nicole in the position to get on the block. Victor tells him that he thought they had a true F4 and that if he stays, he's gunning after them now. (*I love Victor. lol) He said while he doesn't wanna friends in the game, he knows post-BB they'll all be okay.

After they left the room, Nicole said she feels guilty now about putting them up on the block and at least should've warned them first. She thinks Victor is gonna try to get James on his side.

In other news, Victor/Paul discussed Final 2 and who they'd vote for: both would probably vote for Corey to win over Nicole/James because he's not a returning vet. They're proud of how they've played the game, didn't lay low (or in bed all season like some other HG's..*cough* Nicole *cough*) and actaully played it.

The other day, Nicole/Corey were talking about putting Victor/Paul up on the block and Nicole acted like she wasn't sure. Corey questioned her, and she said she was just doing it for footage for BB for the show. So when you see that clip, that's why. She never 2nd guessed it, though.

So Nicole is confident that one of them (Paul/Vic) is leaving this week and whichever one stays, will be gunning after Corey..not her (since this is Corey's HOH). Mix that in with her alleged pre-BB18 Final 2 deal with James, and well..she's gotta be feeling pretty confident in sliding into the finals with ease.

Me though? I'm hoping for a Pandora's Box or something. lol

**Today is the Veto Ceremony and unless Paul or Victor win it, it's game over for Victor it seems. The HG's think today's veto comp will be the Comic Book Zipline comp since they saw the zipline out in the backyard. We shall see!! If Victor wins, Paul goes homes. If Paul wins, Victor goes homes. If James/Nicole/Corey wins, the noms will stay the same. Pretty cut & dry this week. I'll post the spoiler later on today.

Winner of the Veto is:
NICOLE

I love love love how it's either Vic or Paul going home. Remember how they turned on and dissolved The Executives alliance? Paybacks are a nasty Biotch. They should take out Vic cuz he's too strong with the comps. Way to go Corey!!!!!

I think the season is getting fun.

Victor is super strong. its a game move for anyone to gun after him. he'd win an F2 situation hands-down.

jamie - I loved the first paragraph - too funny!!

omg - I would hate to see Nicorey win - for sleeping around all summer - gag. I hate how the people who actually play the game are the first ones to go now! I SO hope Victor wins the veto and gets to stay!!

There seems to be a common theme in the comments that Nicorey just laid in the bed all season and didn't give enough entertainment so they therefore don't deserve to win. I think their moves was brilliant. It is a strategy to let the more flamboyant players have the spotlight (and thereby the target)and just be in the background friendly and non-threatening. And heck, it worked didn't it.

Paul and Victor are just disappointed that they didn't win so they could have put Nicorey up, which they would have done. It's the most logical move. I'm glad that Corey is unrepentant and is showing that despite his general fogginess he knows what's happening and he's been playing the game.

It's so disgusting that it's actually looking like James is gonna get AFP. BB really made it a shoe in by giving him the sympathy edit the last few episodes. The fact that a returning HG didn't come back and use any of his knowledge to actually play the game but just hook up with someone and play to the cameras trying to play for America not the game.

Really sucks how Paul and Vic are screwed, the sitting ducks was the best arc of the season! Good luck to them.

Obsidiandog. said...

Victor must be pretty dim. It was an obvious game move and if you are putting a premium on loyalty you are playing the wrong game. If you want loyalty get a dog.

James is set to go quite a bit further than last time so I would say his season is a real success. He will probably make F3, and quite possibly AFP for whom I will happily vote again.

Brenda, do you not remember that pile of toxic waste Paulie was the ring leader of the Executives? It was smart to jump ship. Victor and Paul did not betray that alliance. Paulie did with his disgusting behavior that put a target on ALL OF THEM. Victor and Paul were betrayed by Natalie and Michelle, due to Nicole the Liar, and now they're being betrayed by Corey. Corey needs to get over being put on the block a month ago. He wasn't even the target. If he was hurt by it so bad, why did he make a final four deal with Victor? The truth is that Corey is a shill for Production, who wants Nicole and James to be final two. This season is the most rigged I've ever seen. And all of this before an online only season that CBS wants us to pay for? Nope. This could be the very last season I watch. I might not even make it to the finale.

NanaMomma said...

Does production win anything if the houseguest they want to win wins? This looks like fantasy football Big Brother style. Production members have their bets on the winner first of the season and the staff "guide" their choices as far as they can hoping the player they picked as the winner wins, thus giving the staff member the winnings of the fantasy big brother pot.

Exactly, Craig, Nicorey couldn't afford to keep both P/V. If they wanted James out, next HOH Nicole against P/V and if P/V win HOH? Catastrophe for Nicorey. Busted, one of them is gone and then 1 against P/V. They had no choice because next week would definitely have been the two of them OTB, period, no two ways about it. Vic is playing the wrong game if he thinks at this point loyalty is what counts here on out. I like Vic and loyalty is a valuable attribute, but not at this time. He needs to realize he came in to play a game and look at it as such.

As far as Nicorey & James laying low all season, I say that's a fine strategy also since it got them where they are. Sometimes being quiet and winning is the right thing. You don't have to be aggressive and loud to succeed.

Anonymous said...

So hoping for Vic to win veto. Now that he wouldn't have Paul and he doesn't have to be loyal to Nicorey, maybe he could pull out a win.

I also was not fond of Nicole winning earlier but now I see she's been trying to lay low and survive. She really has been thinking very strategically the last couple of weeks.

As far as AFP, we have to realize it isn't who played the game the best, it's who was most likable. Even if James hasn't played the best game for sure, he sure is one of the kindest-hearted people in the game. Other than that, I can't really say there was anyone that I really cared much for as a person, sorry to say. The only other one I would even care much for personality-wise is Vic and he can even be mean-spirited.

Razldazlrr said...

I suppose the above are true about Nicorey - I guess I prefer to see a person that really played win the game - they don't seem to even have paid any attention until the last couple of weeks, but I suppose you are right - with this group - it worked.

bbwatcher said...

I agree that laying low worked for Nicorey and James. However, James is the only one that owns up to it as a strategy. I think I've heard Nicole whining about why people don't like her if she "didn't even do anything" several times. She should be accountable for her game play in the DR at least in the DR. Corey hid behind the guys group, I think he won comps on accident because veto/HOH never seemed urgent to him until now. Like Paul and vic said, the sitting ducks have played from day 1, unlike the others. Hope at least one of them makes it to F2

Mama B said...

I don't care for James, and can't stand Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dumb. I think victor needs to win, or Paul.

michaelnsync said...

Best case scenario, Vic and Paul pull James in with them... If James wins veto, pull either Vic or Paul off, then the 2 voters would be whoever came off, and James (Nicole would be on the block by default). If Vic/Paul pull James in, then they can easily say, if us 3 stay together, get Nicole out this week. Next weeks HOH would just be just them 3 competing. Corey's only chance to save himself would be if he wins the veto himself, otherwise he's a sitting duck. Then you have the Final 3 comps and we all duke it out.

Chicklet thinks deadbeat dads with a criminal record who openly talk about their lousy "pull out game" and would prefer to kill someone in a drunk driving accident than have a child from a one-night stand (after he already had a child from a one-night stand) are kind hearted. Ok.

Wow, so many opinions & views, I don't think anyone is really surprised Vic and Paul are up, they would have put Nic & Corey up also, tit for tat, no point in acting a fool, is final 5, James is not stupid, Vic & Paul are not worth the veto for him, if he can pull the next HOH, he will be putting the remaining males up, it's just smart play, if Vic does not win the Veto, he's gone, wish it was Paul tho, I don't care how hard he has been playing, he has lied to get to his spot to. Never cared about Paul! I like Vic, and by end of week whoever is going will get why they got put up. It's a game.
Another late comp, I guess.

Does anyone know if Victor was just rattling or venting, is he stupid making himself the bigger target by doing that. Not smart before the comp. sorry however hoping he does not win veto, hoping Corey holds it.

Dianne said...

If we all held everyone in the house equally accountable for their stupid and/or mean comments, we would hate them all equally because none of the HG are blameless. But of course it doesn't work that way, we let the ones we like slide. I still have a soft spot for James even though he can be kind of a dope. I like Vic but I don't like BB allowing evicted house guests come back in, so not sorry he will be evicted for good this time. As far as Nic playing a good game, no. Her jury management is horrible as she made enemies of all the females. I'm starting to like Corey more, I don't like Paul and hope he is gone next, but he may win HOH and put Nicotey up. James is in the catbird seat, so ha ha, sometimes the tortoise makes it to the finish line. I actually hope James makes Final 2 & Vic gets AFP.

Unknown said...

I agree that Corey and Nicole were pretty smart to just lie around all the time and be non-threatening. I also agree (with FEMily) that this is the most rigged season ever. Disappointing to say the least.

UnionGrl said...

Do you remember James telling how on his season he made more money than the #2 spot between stipend and AFP? Money is what Vic needs so that could work better for him in the long run (keep it in mind if he gets axed, which looks likely) and when you add his bribe he would do very well.

I vacillate between liking and not liking Vic. I found it interesting on BBAD that Corey said Vic's inappropriate comments to Nicole added to his comfort in evicting him.

Say what you will, Nicorey has performed beautifully this season. That's what partnership in game play looks like. And while they are waiting to vanquish all, they cuddle - what's not to like?

Omg, people there have been many of bad BB seasons. This is hardly the worst.
I believe if Nicole makes finals she will be respected by both females and Males, there was not much she did do to anyone, I do know she relayed some info on a few that were not in her alliance, but that's still game. I do know she was never in the dark as to what was going on, she & Corey managed to know everything they needed to know, stayed quite and kept it between them. Yes, that's good game. You don't need to come in a badass comp demon to win BB, Paulie and Victors down falls. I don't hate anyone of them, never do. It is a game it's a secret back stabbing get them before they get you game.
Like the sometimes the turtle makes it lol!

And Nicole wins veto, right?

Angelface said...

Yes, she did.

Angelface said...

They are set on Victor to go, unfortunately he is the biggest threat to them. They also feel Paul is smart but he has not been able to beat any of them lately. Victor is pretty sure it's him, said he knows they would be stupid not to send him out. They were all social last night, Paul talked to Victor explained the strategic thinking and Victor was himself last night.
Still not sure James head is right, Nicole knows she has to win the next HOH, they assume the date comp is coming up.

All remaining players are in pain from the butter comp, the veto wore out James and Victor, Paul did not admit. But I think it added to their body pain. So it really is anyone's game for the next HOH, Veto come Tuesday & Wednesday"s 2nd live eviction leaving the final three.

Anonymous said...

Totally agree with your take on it, Dianne. Fem, you are correct in that Nicole did not treat the girls well as far as soliciting their votes. But, when they showed the jury, Day and someone else commented that Nicole is controlling the house now and most likely will vote on who they feel played the best game because it is a game and not who you do and don't like.

Unknown said...

Nicole wins veto? Awesome. Bye Victor - this time for good unless CBS gives you a third try

rigs said...

I hope Nicole doesn't trust James. He has a history of betrayal and betrayal in BB is OK in my book UNLESS you are in the middle of a comp and promise in front of America that you will not betray someone. Alliances, backstabbing, lying and betray are a part of the game but, IMO, there is a line that can't be crossed and James has crossed it several times. Both Nicole and Corey are "showing their true colors" by being strong competitors and good strategic players. Either one of them really deserves to win this game.

I agree with chicklet, Da knows the game and she is calling it correctly. I think a lot of the other girls were jealous of Nicole and did their best to sabotage her. She and Corey have been absolutely correct in "laying low", even if that is under the sheets. Nicole the adoring "why wouldn't any girl just think Corey is perfect?" and Corey, the bit not so bright, not a great competitor, were great roles for this game. They are really coming on strong but as we have seen in the past, people like Paul and James can win this game.

I agree with a lot of people above about Nicole and Corey having played great games. It may have been boring (particularly for those who watch the live feeds), but I do believe it was intentional. Some may not like the way they played the game, but I do believe they (especially Nicole) have been playing the game. Laying low and stepping it up at the right time is smart. James had the same strategy, but failed to step it up when necessary. I may still be in the minority, but I still like James and Nicole. I hope Nicole wins because I do think she's done a better job at game play over James though. Paul has also played a good game and maneuvered his way out of bad situations. He has built good relationships and switched sides when needed. However, he just hasn't been my favorite. He is deserving of the win based on his play, but I'm just not rooting for him. Not sure who I would root for though if it were him and Corey in the final 2. Neither would be my fave.

As far as Victor goes, I like him, but don't want him to win. He is very good at comps, obviously, but he is not good at the game of Big Brother overall! Winning comps is really the only strength he has in the game. All other aspects of his game are lacking, which is why he has already been evicted twice and now mostly likely a third time. And it's not just because he's a big target. There have been big targets in the past who have still managed to make it to the end because they had other tricks up their sleeve and other gameplay strengths (Dr. Will, Dan, Evel Dick to name a few). For that reason, I just don't see him as deserving of the win. He just isn't the best strategist. He is worthy of AFP though. You don't have to have good game play for that title.

Obsidiandog. said...

Victor is really big about owning records. Only player to be evicted 3 times in one season. There you go, Vic.

Angelface said...

Mostly agree with JoyNSoul,
Except about Paul, he has been a nasty little player, the Jury knows this, it would be a huge mistake to think he can be the winner even over James, Remember he has tossed many under the bus to further himself, so many of those girls wanted Paul gone, I doubt Nicole or Corey would Vote him over James, his personal attacks might prove to be his biggest mistake.
James did one of the dirtiest moves with Frank & Bridgette, Day is mad, So might be very interesting if that happens.

Very glade they kept 5 to the last week, can't wait to see this play out. Wondering how many have changed their view on Nicole & Corey, excellent game from them, I still don't know why I stuck with them, I know they did not bother me as much as Natalie and James did. And I did see the little bits of info being relayed through Nicole and Corey early on, that might be why I never counted the out. And hey I wouldn't get out of that bed with Corey ether. LOL!

JoyNSoul said...

Angelface, no arguments here in regards to Paul. :) Mostly just meant that he has played smarter and more strategic as compared to Victor. I would hope James could win over Paul, but who knows for sure. I've been hoping all season that Nicole would show herself to be a good player and a contender for the win. Still hoping she can pull it over the boys.

I get ya JoNSoul, hoping Nicole is next HOH,
Yes @ Brenda, loving it.

No I don't feel bad for Victor, think he is a great person. If Corey, James or Nicole don't get MVP, my 2nd choice is Victor. Actually, guess I should hold that thought if Corey doesn't make final 3, I'll vote for him, same for Nicole, 3rd be Victor. Mainly due to his lack of game, which JoyNSoul already pointed out. But I have to Say no for James, he did backstabbing, and something else he didn't do really bothered me, he never really told Natalie the truth in his alliances. Yes, he was nice and quite, but there were many points he could have given up info and didn't.

Really, really hoping Paul doesn't win next HOH. Granted, he has played good to get where he is. I just don't like seeing him on the live feeds always going to the people OTB and making it sound like it isn't really what he wants to vote them out. He's doing it to cover his butt for jury votes, I get it, but it's hard to see him. He just is so obnoxious. I would love to see the F3 be Nic/Corey/James as Brenda said.

It's hard to see someone go against an agreement made during a comp but when James jumped down to let Nicole win, she had also said he could actually have the HOH name and name the nominees, all she wanted was a letter from her mom. I was pleased that she did honor her word of not putting James/Nat up at least. She was shivering alot and James was shaking alot. We'll never know if James would have been determined enough to have beat her anyway. I was disappointed in James when he went against his word in an earlier comp also but like alot of other times when people don't honor what they say, I try to look past it. He has made some good moves in being a part of getting Zakiyah, Paulie, and Frank out. Those were definitely turning points in the game.

Angelface said...

Omg the comp was hilarious, can't stop lmao.

Unknown said...

I'm going to disagree with you, rigs. Kaysar found out the hard way that the middle of a comp in front of America is the perfect time to get lied to. That line has been crossed plenty of times to varying effect. The line that shouldn't be crossed, IMO, is lying TO America. See: Derek. Backstabbing is beautiful in BB... just as long as it isn't America that you're stabbing.

Sammie said...

None of the people left are really my favorites. But I think purely for entertainment reasons, it would be interesting if Paul won HOH and put up Nicorey, Nicole wins veto and it's Corey v. James. I'd be interested to see who she would choose to keep for final 3, her showmance or her secret final 2. It probably wouldn't matter as both would keep her in the end, but I think it would be interesting to watch.

rigs said...

Jewel, I don't know what you are talking about RE: Derrek backstabbing America.

Anonymous said...

Angel, I was LMAO also. That was hilarious seeing Paul falling down all the time. They made it look so comical and how he kept his patience is beyond me. I think I would have laid down and given up, it was an impossible task for him once he started getting that slippery butter all over his ramp.

Angelface said...

What do you think the point was showing more of Natalie and James, do you think live night they showed to much and tried to make James look better or more sympathetic That was MPV set up. And thought it was cheap late editing. And Victor & Nicole, the way they edited that and Paul seeing through it was classic, to funny, and there are times you can see Corey not liking it, wonder how he sees the after game and Nicole now? Thinking back to their conversation when Nicole was 1 HOH her and Victor talking on the sofa, I thought he was flirting with her then.
Wondering if she wins the game how ether one of them would act.

Also hate this idea of backstabbing, it's big brother, manipulation, lies, broken deals are the game, if you base anyone's game on the least lies, then you'd need to watch Disney channel. This is Big Brother, and every single one of us watch this show for the backstabbing, manipulation, lies, I have no problem admitting that.

Angelface said...

@Samantha she would choose Corey, specially with Paul still in, she would need him to win the first HOH, and it would be smart to let them battle out that fist part, saving her energy for the 2nd.

Wondering if her legs are longer then Pauls, I'm thinking she might, I'll need to see them standing side by side to be sure, but if she does she can out run him. Ok he stands less then a head above hers and hers is tilted, in one can't see there bodies, if Victor is 6ft and Paul at a guess 5'7 8, she is at least 5'5 6, are there stats on them anywhere?
Why am I trying to figure this out. Well it's an edge a lot of people don't notice,
Rewatching the Victor Nicole set, getting off the backyard couch Victor says if Corey don't marry you I will. Lmao that's section is worth a few watches.
