Tonight, we will watching Paul VS Nicole in the Part 3 Final HOH Comp, where the winner will advance to Final 2 and get to pick which HG to bring with them.
If Paul wins, expect him to bring Nicole. If Nicole wins, who knows..though Paul told her last night that if she bails on their Final 2, she loses his vote. Period. Nicole has been promising Paul all week that they're gonna be Final 2, until she brought up concerns last night. Paul told her that if he cuts her at Final 2, then she's not a respectable player and that she should've just told him all week long that she wasn't gonna take him instead of flipping the script last minute.
Nicole is really in a pickle here because if..
*She wins and doesn't take Paul, she loses his vote.
*She wins and does take Paul, he most likely wins BB18.
*She loses Part 3, Paul could cut her (for being so flip-floppy) and take James, ensuring his win of BB18.
So tonight is gonna be really interesting to see how things unfold. In my opinion, Paul has an advantage to both winning Part 3 (which is questions that the jury members answer and they have to guess what the HG said & Paul's social game was on-point and got to know everybody, unlike Nicole who was in bed with Corey for 99% of the season) and also for winning BB18 versus either N or J. The only way I see Paul getting "boned" tonight, if he loses Part 3 and Nicole takes James instead.

That's too bad that Paul threatened Nic that she doesn't have his vote if she takes James. She should not tell him if she's thinking of taking James just so that he doesn't try harder in Part 3. Of course, he will still try hard because he doesn't know for certain that he is going with her. But, he would hound her unmercilessly and she would freak out for the comp.
Would he really vote for James when he has been so adamant that he wouldn't take James and he doesn't want James to win at all? I really doubt it.
It is still a game until Part 3 and the votes are over.

Shame on me but I look at it as a game. You win by doing what you need to for the win...that being taking the easiest to win against...James. Whether he played the game the best and deserved it or not, you are there to win, whatever it takes.
So, I was hoping that whoever won Part 3, if they didn't take James, that the person that they took to F2 was the person who won. That was Nicole so I say, congrats to Nicole and Paul deserved 2nd place for not taking the easy win.
I'm not saying Nicole played a bad game. She made it to the end, she played well. But better than Paul? I really don't think 5 reasonable, big brother players would say Nicole outplayed Paul. I really don't see an objectionable argument to suggest as much. He played a better game, period.
I am so disappointed. I agree the two played a great game but I so wanted Paul to win.

Paul unfortunately was a fool not taking James, but it's hard to judge them being that they live in the bubble for that length of time. Too bad, he played one of the best games I have ever seen.

It is kind of hard to convince the jury you deserve to win when you don't take the weakest available player with you to final 2.
I think it's funny that after all the James and Natalie drama about her not wanting him to work with Nicole and Corey she voted for Nicole and he didn't!

Out of all the Derrick/Cody stories, the one that Paul should have listened to was the one where Cody took Derrick to F2 instead of Victoria. The $450,000 mistake. But he chose to shut it out, evicted the weakest player, who he hates, and took the winner with him. So he fumbled on the one yard line. He didn't deserve to win. I think everyone is just glad this season is in the rear view mirror, even the jury members who for the first time described jury as a suffocating, unpleasant place to be.

I'm definitely not a fan of Paul but I think he deserved to win over her. and I really can't understand his thinking takes Nicole instead of James to the final - that made no sense to me. does anyone really think James would have beat him?
@riggs- James didn't vote for Nicole because Paul was being his usual rude and manipulative self. He manipulated James twice - when he evicted James, he basically said it was Nicole's fault as she told him about her discussions with James and Paul felt James stabbed him in the back.
The second time was when James asked him if their alliance meant anything and he said "Nicole told me everything and you didnt," meaning James was a stand up guy and Nicole betrayed James. It was rude of Paul and his usual self. Paul is not a person of integrity and that's why he didnt win. Paulie obviously figured out he was betrayed by Paul. Paulie may be a douche but he believes in bro code.
Nicole deserved to win. Paul choose her over James because historically when a male sits next to a female on these reality shows the males have won (except if the male was Russell Hanz on Suvivor). So Paul is the Russell Hanz of Big Brother.
Must've been Nicole's final 2 speech that sealed the deal...lol
What I really loved was that Dr Will called Michelle on her crap about Nicole. He said "did you just not like Nicole before you came in the BB HOUSE?" Michelle was insanely jealous of Nicole because Nicole is a natural beauty and Michelle calls herself ugly. Even Victor told Michelle that Nicole's play was strategy, which it was. Now that Nicole has won, I'm sure she's even more jealous.
BTW during discussions on this blog I mentioned that I didn't like Season 15 for many reasons, but that one reason was that many of the houseguests were on psychotropic drugs. Someone, who had problems writing clearly and effectively, was apparently trying to ask me what my source was for saying they were on psychotropic drugs. I didn't answer at the time and I haven't seen this "incendiary" on the blog since, but my source was the house guests themselves. They talked about it on BB AFTER DARK.

What I also loved was the look on Paul's face after he lost. He really thought he would win. Arrogance. Also Paulie is summed it up when he stated that not being on the block - Nicole - is as strategic as being on the block 6 times - Paul. Paulie redeemed himself to me last night.
ugh.......As soon as he said Nicole, I knew Paul was gonna lose. smh. I wanted him to win so bad. These people were just tooo damn trusting. I WOULD NOT have TRUSTED Nicole one bit. And Im glad that Paul told James that Nicole ran back to tell him everything. And even HAPPIER that James gave his vote to Paul, even if it didnt help him in the end! I still don't understand why people think James didn't deserve to win for doing the EXACT SAME THING as Nicole the whole summer: Lie in bed and don't win shit. He took a calculated risk by throwing the comps at the end. Even I thought he was going to be taken to F2 no matter what.
Other players in BB history have gone to the end and won without winning comps or being HoHs, etc. But somehow the narrative this year is that James was miserable for doing that exact thing.

Oh, and by the way... According to TV By the Numbers, the BB season finale live + same day number was 6.32 million viewers. Which is just a bit off from what they used to pull in... That may be why they're trying some web exposure instead.
It occurred to me the other night that James should have been the actual winner of part one of the final HOH. The rules stated that the last person "on the wall" would be the winner. NOT the last person hanging onto their rope. Paul and Nichole both swung out on their ropes long before James ever fell off the wall. James got robbed.
